Ok so I know this is totally out of left field but its driving me crazy and maybe someone can help. I found a game from waaaaay back that I wanted to play but it wasnt old enough that it was dos based so dosbox is out. Can't run it on xpvista7 (tried all 3). That leaves 9598. I actually went through the trouble to make an iso for 95 so that I could run it on VMware and it actually works surprisingly well. The game even installed fine, but when I go to run it it needs to be in 256 color mode. Thats where the problem starts.. My computer has an Intel 965gm express chipset with integrated graphics which is not exactly something that was around in the win95 era. I have tried both the generic vga and svga drivers built in, didn't work. Tried windows 2000 drivers, didn't work. If anyone has any ideas on how to trick it into 256 color mode please help. Thanks!
Virtualbox For Windows 10
Virtualbox Win95 Windows 95 on VirtualBox I wanted to play an old game - Axis and Allies but it does not run on XP and the company has never released an updated version or even fixed the bugs. Hasbro has a habit of buying up the IP rights to classic board games and then releasing terrible computer games based on them (while preventing anyone.
Virtualbox Windows Drivers
- 'We will never ever produce guest additions for Windows 98' or 'We will produce guest additions for Windows 98 once we get more pressing bugs fixed'? While there is a fix for the 100% CPU, and there are some (iffy) video drivers available, stable graphics drivers, mouse integration, and clipboard integration would be extremely helpful.

- Windows 98SE on VirtualBox (with video and audio drivers) (updated March 2019) Why do this? If you feel nostalgic for a bit of Windows 9x action, or you just want to play some old games that are between DOS and Windows XP, you can either build a retro PC gaming rig, or you can test the water with VirtualBox.
